It's 1975 and two young survivors (who may or may not be the playwright's parents) meet in a Vietnamese refugee camp in Arkansas shortly after the fall of Saigon. Will this strange new land of burritos, hippies and pot allow them to fall in love? Qui Nguyen (Raya and the Last Dragon, She Kills Monsters) irreverently flips stereotypes on their head, remixes history and pop culture and cooks up a sexy, funny and energetic romp that may be his own secret origin story.
